SureSmile Clear Braces
Straighten Your Teeth Discretely With SureSmile Clear Aligners!
Suresmile clear aligners are an orthodontic treatment that works to gradually straighten your teeth with custom-fit, removable clear aligners.
Our team will digitally scan your teeth, then partner with the SureSMile digital lab to create an individual treatment plan that enables your aligners to move your teeth from your first aligner to your last.
SureSmile uses a series of custom-fabricated aligners designed to shift your teeth and jaw into their ideal position gradually. You will wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day and switch them out for the next in the series at the interval specified in your treatment plan (typically every two weeks). SureSmile therapy is loved by patients and dentists because it is:
- Effective: because the aligners are fabricated based on advanced computer technology, SureSmile aligners create precise movements while requiring fewer adjustments than traditional braces
- Versatile: SureSmile is a great option for a wide variety of misalignment issues ranging from gaps and crowding to bite problems such as an overbite or underbite
- Convenient: fewer checkups are needed than for traditional braces, and you can continue to enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions because the aligners are completely removable
- Comfortable: made from proprietary Essix ACE plastic, SureSmile aligners are designed for comfort and do not have any metal wires or brackets to poke your mouth
Why Should You Consider SureSmile Treatment?
Straight teeth are healthy teeth — Teeth that are properly aligned are easier to keep clean with flossing and brushing and may help prevent other health problems.
A beautiful, straight smile builds confidence — Orthodontic treatment can help boost your self-confidence, giving you a better quality of life and the freedom to smile without holding back!
Mouths left untreated can get worse — Not receiving orthodontic treatment when it’s needed can create long-term health issues costing you more in the end.
Gum or bone loss (periodontal disease) — Adults are more likely than children to experience gum recession or even bone loss due to gingivitis or advanced periodontal disease. Patients with straighter teeth are less likely to get gum disease.
Worn or missing teeth — Over time teeth can become worn down and shift into different positions that can only be corrected with orthodontic care.
Incomplete orthodontic treatment as a teen — Many adults received some orthodontic treatment as a child or teen, but never completed their treatment. As an adult, they choose to complete their orthodontic treatment to achieve the healthy, beautiful smile they always wanted.
What is the VPro and How is It Used With SureSMile?
Here at Milltown Dental, Dr. Julie Boudreault and her team are always striving to provide the best orthodontic experience possible to our patients. We know that one of the biggest fears our patients have when it comes to orthodontics is the fear of a long recovery time. This is why we proudly recommend the VPro high-frequency vibration device to our patients. In just 5 minutes a day, the Propel VPro can promote healthy tooth recovery and reduce overall treatment times by as much as 64%. The Propel VPro is the only FDA-approved, high-frequency vibration device proven to promote rapid healing and reduce orthodontic recovery times. It uses high-frequency vibrational technology to speed up the movement of teeth and reduce the time it takes to achieve proper tooth alignment after undergoing orthodontic treatment.
How does it work?
The VPro’s high-frequency vibrations work with the patient’s own biology to stimulate the bone and gumline. As a result, tooth movement is accelerated, and bone regeneration is drastically improved.
The device also works with your existing orthodontics (including traditional braces and Invisalign), so there’s no need to remove them during treatment. The device helps your existing orthodontics achieve optimal seating, which ultimately reduces the amount of time you’ll need to wear your retainer. Fewer refinements mean fewer adjustments, and fewer adjustments mean fewer office visits.
